Associate/Assistant General Counsel

Primary Responsibilities

Assist the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel in the efficient delivery of all necessary legal services. Draft or review contracts, develop and coordinate compliance with record retention policy, review and revise the Staff Handbook, manage test question licensing, provide litigation support, update and assure compliance with privacy policies, serve on the Questioned Test-Score Review Board and respond to legal inquiries regarding it, and perform legal research and writing assignments as needed.

Qualifications

JD degree from an ABA-approved law school required. Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar with, at minimum, an In-House Counsel License (or eligibility for Bar admission within six months) required. Minimum five years experience in the provision of legal services to in-house or external clients required; work experience at an educational testing organization or higher education institution preferred. Contract experience required; experience in the provision of other legal services described above preferred. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills, demonstrated ability to exercise confidentiality and sound independent judgment, and good client-relations skills required.
