Additional Information
Atlanta's John Marshall Law School offers a climate that is supportive of the LGBT community on and off campus and is supportive of those issues that are of interest to and impact them. We also have an active student body that consists of student organizations that are committed to providing the student body with programs that are aimed at informing students and eliciting discussion on current legal issues that impact our society, including the LGBT community.
OUTLaw & Allies is one of the many student organizations that we have on campus. This organization consists of law students, faculty, and alumni, and it seeks to increase awareness of the legal and social issues that impact gay, lesbian, bisexual, gender nonconforming, and transgender individuals, and it encourages bridge-building between diverse communities within law school and beyond. Their goal is to build dialogues in an atmosphere of mutual respect and open-mindedness for all, regardless of orientation or status.
In addition to the educational programs our student organizations host, the law school offers various courses throughout the academic year where current legal issues are raised.
