Nondiscrimination Policy
It has always been the policy of Brooklyn Law School not to discriminate on the basis of sex, gender, age, disability, race, color, religion, national or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, marital status, or parental status in its admission or employment policies or in access to any of its education, financial aid, or other school-administered programs. This policy is enforced by federal law under Title IX of the Education Amendment of 1972, Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1991, and other pertinent statutes. The law school does not permit employers who engage in discriminatory hiring practices to use the services of its Career Center. Gay and lesbian students hold biweekly meetings and periodic social events. Outlaws sponsors panel discussions on issues affecting the gay and lesbian community, and coordinates activities with other gay and lesbian legal organizations.

Employment Discrimination
This course focuses on prohibitions against employment discrimination based on race, color, sex, religion, age, national origin, and disability. The prohibitions are found primarily in modern federal civil rights statutes. The course considers the sources, theories, and goals of antidiscrimination laws.
