Additional Information
Faculty, staff, and administrators from a number of law school departments—including JD Student Affairs,
Admissions/Financial Aid, the Records Office, Graduate Programs, HR/Budget, Clinics, and the Library—participated in the Safe Space Ally
Training workshop. These offices now identify themselves as "safe spaces" for LGBT law students with rainbow stickers,
placards, and buttons. The law school funds approximately 8–12 students each year to attend the annual Lavender Law Career
Fair and Conference, sponsored by the National LGBT Bar Association/Foundation. Our Pride Law group is one of our most
active and visible law student organizations. Pride Law sponsors speakers, networking events, and social gatherings throughout
the year for LGBT law students, faculty, staff, and straight allies. Pride Law members are also actively involved in the San Diego
legal community through involvement in the Tom Homann LGBT Law Association, a voluntary bar affiliated with the San
Diego County Bar Association.
