Student Organization Contact Information
Bowen Lambda is a diverse UALR Law School organization consisting of students, faculty, staff, and alumni, regardless of sex, gender identity, or sexual orientation. Our mission includes promoting diversity, raising awareness of legal issues affecting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) communities, and maintaining an open atmosphere of acceptance, tolerance, equality, and justice for all.
We focus on LGBT issues at the Bowen Law School, in the local community, and at the state and federal levels. From our founding in summer 2007, we have helped organize educational events, including forums on civil rights laws, sexual orientation discrimination, and legal arguments in same-sex custody cases. Other past activities include charitable supply drives, World AIDS Day volunteering, and social events like the Walk for CommUNITY and a Federal Courthouse tour.
