Additional Information

Florida Coastal School of Law believes in providing a support system and social circle for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and questioning students, and for allies who share a vision of equality with respect to transgender experience and sexual orientation. To that end, Coastal Law's LAMBDA Law Students Association organizes programs and events that are intended to serve as a means to advance legal rights for individuals who face wrongful discrimination and to provide charitable assistance to those in need. Coastal Law's LAMBDA Law Students Association was the first student-led organization to receive a JASMYN Silver Award for community service and LGBTQ leadership. LAMBDA regularly provides community service to improve education, celebrate diversity, and promote human rights. Leadership positions are not limited to LGBTQ students, and LAMBDA invites all Coastal Law students to support their colleagues in a strong effort to make every place in our community a safe space. Likewise, the Coastal Law extended community strives towards maintaining an inclusive culture where students can be free to be who they are.
