Nondiscrimination Policy

Course Titles and/or Descriptions

  • LAWI 9040 Civil and Political Rights—[2–3 hours] Civil and Political Rights focuses on a broad array of legal issues and rights in this area of law. Beginning with a history of the area, the course includes topics such as voting rights, religion, education, discrimination, police misconduct, and prisoners' rights. Current issues are discussed using news articles and videos.
  • LAWI 9080 Gender and the Law—[2–3 hours] This course covers issues of gender in the law, including family, employment, domestic violence, and antidiscrimination law. These issues are examined on both a theoretical and practical level, with a primary focus on jurisprudential approaches to issues of women in the law.
