Nondiscrimination Policy
The University of Idaho has a policy of nondiscrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, sexual orientation, disability, or status as a Vietnam era veteran. This policy applies to all programs, services, and facilities, and includes, but is not limited to, applications, admissions, access to programs and services, career services, and employment. Such discrimination is prohibited by Titles VI and VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act Amendment of 1978, the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, and other state and federal laws and regulations. Student Organization Contact Information
OUTLaw is an organization open to all students who are interested in extending civil rights to all Americans. OUTLaw serves as a support group for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) law students, in addition to law students who have family and friends in the LGBT community. Our main goals are to (1) educate our school and community about LGBT issues and (2) to participate in legal issues that affect the LGBT community in Idaho. Furthermore, we provide information and networking occasions to LGBT law students in order to increase educational and career opportunities. Through these goals and opportunities, we hope to promote understanding and acceptance among all.

Course Titles and/or Descriptions
Law 959, Critical Legal Studies focuses on deconstructing traditional hierarchies within the law and legal institutions and looks to foster change by critically analyzing the law and these institutions. This course will cover one or more of the following subjects: Feminism, Critical Race Studies, Race-Feminism, or Gender/Gender Identity/Queer Studies.
The seminar "LGBT Law" was offered last year to interested students.

Additional Information
The University of Idaho College of Law provides a safe environment for law students primarily through OUTLaw. The student organization sponsors a wills clinic for the LGBT community, brings in national educational speakers, and sponsors an annual drag show. Moscow, Idaho, celebrates diversity by sponsoring events such as the Palouse Pride Festival. The LGBTQA Office at the University of Idaho promotes "SafeZone" participation by faculty, staff, and others on the UI campus.
In addition, the crit, a journal produced by the University of Idaho College of Law's crit student organization, published the 25-page article, "The Marriage Amendments, Equality and Partner Benefits: A Letter to the City Council of Moscow, Idaho," which can be found in Volume 2, Issue 2.
