Nondiscrimination Policy
The University of Kansas, Lawrence, is committed to the full participation of previously excluded or neglected classes of people. We actively seek diversity in our student body, including sexual orientation and identity. We encourage applicants to discuss their sexual orientation or sexual identity in their personal statement or in an addendum if they so choose. The law school has numerous Safe Zones in the building and on campus. OutLaws and Allies contributes to creating a welcoming environment. The LGBTQ organizations of the university, Lawrence, and Kansas City area are all very active and welcome participation.
