Summary of Position

Under supervision, responsible for serving as initial point of contact for external and internal inquiries and visitors to the Admission and Financial Aid Office; coordinating prospective student visit and tour program; and providing support in planning and executing Admission, Outreach and Financial Aid Office events.

Process applicant correspondence, perform data entry, support senior staff, and perform additional administrative tasks as needed.

Education Required: High School/GED
Education Preferred: Bachelor’s

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Sit for long periods at a computer.

Lift/move boxes of catalogs weighing up to 50 lbs.  

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work occasional overtime, including weekends and evenings, as necessary.

Work in a shared, open office environment with public access.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Experience working as a receptionist in a busy office environment including acting as first point of contact, performing general office procedures, and implementing and maintaining electronic systems and databases.

Oral and written communication skills to communicate orally via telephone and in person in a manner that is effective, courteous, cooperative, informative, diplomatic and promotes a positive image of the School of Law.

Interpersonal skills to interact in a positive manner with a diverse group of people.

Computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and its applications and functions to generate merges, tables, and graphics.

Organizational skills to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a busy environment under multiple deadlines.

Experience using writing, editing and proofreading skills to effectively compose and edit documents with working knowledge of English grammar  

Preferred

Experience with database applications (e.g., ACES2/Unite, Banner), website content management platforms, electronic communication platforms (e.g. Constant Contact), design software or platforms (Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva), and social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram), and Adobe Acrobat, particularly editing functions.

General knowledge and understanding of a college campus including general admissions functions, and notations on a college transcript.
