Summary of Position
The Assistant Director for Academic Support Services supports JD and non-JD programs, admissions, and student organizations. Non-JD programs includes the LL.M. in Taxation, LL.M. in International Taxation, Three-Semester LL.M. in International Taxation with a Concentration in U.S. Law, S.J.D. in Taxation, and our joint 7-semester JD/Tax LL.M program.
In collaboration with Admissions, the Admissions Committee for LLMs, and the Director of the Graduate Tax Programs, the Assistant Director will develop innovative recruitment strategies to grow the pool of LL.M. applicants and JD/LLM joint-degree applicants. The candidate should be fluent in the admissions criteria, goals, and requirements for JD admissions and each UF Law LL.M. degree program and assist prospective LL.M. students with questions about the details of application process.
This position will also advise international students on course selection to meet degree requirements and their professional goals. The advising will include regular one-on-one meetings with students as well as the development of programming throughout the year. Support student organizations and student life, including on event planning; and develop programming and events that foster a sense of community for LL.M. students, enhances the LL.M. law school experience and integration into the broader UF Law and UF community.
