Introduction
New England Law | Boston offers an exceptional academic program; an engaged, welcoming community; and a menu of experiential learning opportunities that is among the most varied in the nation—all in the heart of Boston's legal community. Founded in 1908 as Portia Law School, the first law school in the nation exclusively for women, New England Law has been coeducational since 1938.
The faculty at New England Law | Boston come from some of the country's top academic institutions and bring extensive real-world experience to the classroom. Adjunct professors include more than a dozen judges.
Eight Supreme Court justices have visited New England Law or have lectured at the school or in its summer abroad programs. Four visited during the school's centennial year, with Justice Sandra Day O'Connor (retired) saying "It's a tremendous honor for me to be here...to celebrate the start of the second 100 years of this amazing law school, and it's a privilege to be here with America's Favorite Dean. In a real sense, this is a pioneering law school, and its earliest…students were very courageous legal pioneers."

New England Law | Boston provides a website, maintained by the Office of Admissions, for accepted students that includes information on the Boston housing market.
