Statement of Purpose

OutLaws is an organization open to all students who are interested in extending civil rights to all Americans. OutLaws serves as a support group for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) law students, in addition to law students who have family and friends in the GLBT community. Our main goals are to (1) educate our school and our community about GLBT issues and (2) to participate in legal issues that affect the GLBT community in Idaho. Furthermore, we provide information and networking occasions to GLBT law students in order to increase educational and career opportunities. Through these goals and opportunities we hope to promote understanding and acceptance among all.

Additional Information

The College of Law maintains two locations, one in Moscow and one in Boise. Students benefit from the diverse and inclusive university campus in Moscow. A GLBT office and undergraduate student organization also complements the experience of law students. In Boise, students benefit from a more urban campus experience, with all the benefits of being in the center of a city. Both locations broadly are incredibly inclusive, counter to the perceptions of the state of Idaho.
