LSAT Inbox – June 11, 2025

Welcome to the LSAT Inbox! This is a blog series that answers frequently asked questions about the LSAT®. We encourage you to check back often for answers to more questions you may have as you prepare for the test.

When is the first LSAT in the 2025-2026 cycle?

The first test in the 2025-2026 testing cycle is the August 2025 LSAT, and you can register until June 26, 2025.

Is the LSAT cost different depending on whether I choose to test remotely or at a test center?

The LSAT registration fee for the 2025-2026 testing cycle is $248. There is no price difference for candidates testing remotely or at a test center. Please note that you will need to schedule your test session about 30 days prior to the first test day. At that time, you will need to make a final decision about testing remotely or at a test center.

Are there any changes in the LSAT format for the 2025-2026 testing cycle?

No, there are no changes to the format.

I can’t log in to my ProctorU account. Do I need to contact LSAC?

No, please try to reset your ProctorU password first. Go to Proctor U account to request a password reset email. Then click the link in the password reset email, and you will be prompted to set up a new password. Use the new password to login.

When will the fall 2026 law school applications be available?

It depends on each law school; however, the applications for a new application cycle typically open in early fall. We recommend you create a school list in your LSAC JD Account and monitor the date when applications will become available from there.

When should I purchase CAS?

You should sign up and purchase CAS when you are ready to start applying to schools. We recommend purchasing it four to six weeks before your first law school application deadline.

How can I contact LSAC if I have additional questions?

If you have a question that wasn’t answered here, you can contact us using our “Chat” feature by clicking on the chat icon on the bottom right corner of the LSAT pages on our website, via email at LSACinfo@LSAC.org, or by phone at 1.800.336.3982.
