Gain Support and Community Throughout the Law School Application Process with Plus, Guided Journey

The decision to go to law school is one that should be celebrated, and LSAC is at your side as you begin this exciting and challenging journey. One way we support prospective law school applicants is through Plus, Guided Journey, a program that aims to reduce barriers to legal education by providing the guidance and structure needed to tackle the law school application process.

Why Plus, Guided Journey?

If you’re planning to begin law school in fall 2026, Plus is for you. Now in its second year, the Plus, Guided Journey program uses a cohort-based model to provide guidance and support for 14 months as you prepare for and take the LSAT, develop your application materials and submit law school applications, learn about financial aid and financial planning, explore wellness and belonging in law school, make decisions about which law school to attend, and so much more.

At the heart of Plus, Guided Journey is a commitment to proactive support and intentional community building. Participants will be involved in a community of scholars who share the same goal of attending law school. Through active participation, small group study sessions, and conversations, the Plus community supports and uplifts each other, encouraging a sense of belonging that can follow scholars all the way through law school and into their careers. The program also places great importance on individual goals, and we are committed to supporting scholars in highlighting their individuality in their law school applications and pursuing their personal career goals.

Plus, Guided Journey includes:

  • Tailored LSAT prep
  • A strengths-centered approach to building law school applications and planning for law school success
  • Asynchronous workshops and synchronous classes with admission and financial aid professionals, law school professors, and more
  • Structure and accountability, so you know what you need to be doing and when you need to be doing it
  • Financial assistance along the law school journey (LSAT fees, LawHub Advantage, CAS registration, and more)
  • Strong community with fellow Plus scholars who are taking this journey along with you

The program is designed to provide the support you need when you need it. You have made an important decision, and we aim to assist you in creating effective strategies for success no matter what you encounter along the journey to law school.

Regional Hubs

Last year, we launched the first Plus regional hub in Washington, D.C., collaborating with D.C.-area law schools to give local Plus scholars valuable insights into the world of law school.

We’re thrilled to continue to host a regional hub in D.C. next year and to also add two new hub locations in Boston, Massachusetts, and Southern California, expanding the opportunities for in-person participation for Plus scholars across the country.

Plus scholars in these regions will meet in person three times throughout the program term at law schools within their region, enjoying the opportunity to network, build community, and receive in-person instruction from law school professionals.

Applications for the Next Plus Cohort

Applications for the 2025-2026 Plus, Guided Journey program cohort will open on December 16, 2024. To be eligible for the Plus, Guided Journey program, you must intend to apply to a U.S.-based, ABA-approved law school during the fall 2025 application cycle and plan to begin law school in fall 2026.

Plus, Guided Journey applicants do not need to be current students. We welcome program applicants at all stages of life and fully embrace the idea that there is not one singular path into the legal profession. The Plus, Guided Journey application is designed to provide a complete picture of you as an individual and includes short writing prompts to help bring into focus aspects that may not be apparent on a résumé or transcript. There is no cost to apply or to participate in the program if selected.

Plus, Guided Journey is here to support you as you reach for your goal of attending law school. Take the next step in your legal education journey and apply today. We are excited to welcome you!
