Summary of Position
Job Overview
The Assistant Director of Admissions assists with all aspects of the J.D. admissions processes. In addition to reviewing and rendering decisions on applications, this position also requires representing the law school at recruitment fairs, forums, and panels, counseling students regarding the admissions process, and developing and implementing strategies for recruiting and yielding prospective students. This position requires occasional evening and weekend event responsibilities and seasonal recruiting travel.
Requirements and Qualifications
- J.D. or graduate degree required
- 1-3 years experience in areas such as admissions, counseling, recruiting and/or higher education administration preferred.
- Should have familiarity with Microsoft, especially Excel
- Experience with student information systems or similar databases is preferred, as is working knowledge of web development technologies and emerging social media
- An ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information and to work with a wide range of people including applicants, alumni, faculty, staff and students is also required
