Welcome to the LSAT Inbox! This is a blog series that answers frequently asked questions about the LSAT®. We encourage you to check back often for answers to more questions you may have as you prepare for the test.

Yes, you may move your August test date to any open registration up until the June 2026 LSAT. You can review deadlines for the August 2025 LSAT, including the test date change deadlines here. Please note that fees will apply.
How can I check if I purchased Score Preview for my current administration?
Login to your JD Services account and navigate to LSAT/The LSAT/LSAT Status: View All LSAT Information. You can scroll down to see your LSAT Score Preview Status in the “Status” column on the far right. Please note the "not activated" notation does not mean that your Score Preview has not been purchased. It means that scores have not been released yet for the LSAT administration for which you purchased Score Preview.

How do I confirm I scheduled my test correctly?
Once you have scheduled your test, you can log into your JD Services account and view the details under My Status: View All LSAT Information. You will also receive a confirmation email from Prometric.
When do I need to take LSAT Argumentative Writing?
LSAT Argumentative Writing for the August 2025 LSAT opens on Tuesday, July 29. You may take it any time after that point, and we recommend completing it within one week after you complete the multiple-choice portion of the LSAT to allow time for processing by the score release date. Test takers with certain accommodations may need to schedule their LSAT Argumentative Writing session and should refer to their accommodations approval letter.
