Candidates registered for the January, February, or April 2021 in-person LSAT administrations may choose to take the corresponding LSAT-Flex, or opt out by November 13, 2020, and receive a full refund. The online opt-out form is available in candidates’ LSAC accounts. Candidates who do not indicate their preference by November 13 will be automatically registered for the LSAT-Flex exam that corresponds with their current LSAT registration(s).
Before your current LSAT administration’s Test Date Change deadline has passed, you may request to take the LSAT on a different date within the current testing year. LSAT testing years run from June 1 through May 31.
Due to the disruptions and uncertainty created by the COVID-19 pandemic, we are providing January, February, and April LSAT-Flex takers a few options for test date changes:
- Up to two weeks before your LSAT-Flex administration begins, you will have the option to request a test date change free of charge. If you would prefer, also free of charge, you can instead request a coupon that can be used toward a future LSAT during the current testing year. Please review the deadlines listed for each administration for exact dates.
- Less than two weeks before your LSAT-Flex administration begins, you can request a test date change for $125. The deadline to make your request is 11:59 p.m. (ET) on the night before the first day of testing for your LSAT-Flex administration. Please review the deadlines listed for each administration for exact dates.
Frequently Asked Questions
What if I’m registered for the final exam in a testing year?
If you are registered for the final exam of a testing year (e.g., the April 2021 LSAT) and the exam’s Test Date Change deadline has not yet passed, you may change your test date to the first exam of the following testing year. Usually, the first exam of each testing year occurs in June.
If registration for the first exam of the following testing year is not yet available, you can request a coupon, which you will be able to use once registration opens. This coupon will only be good for the first test of the following testing year.
My administration’s Test Date Change deadline has passed. What should I do?
If you’re registered to take an LSAT-Flex exam, there is no further action you need to take. “Absentee” notations are not recorded for LSAT-Flex takers. However, if you’ve already scheduled a testing time with ProctorU, please cancel your scheduled time slot so that it will be available to other test takers.
Please note: If you register for another LSAT test date, you will be required to pay the full LSAT registration fee.
