LGBT Student Organization(s)

Outlaws was formed to provide support for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender students and their supporters. It is designed to provide an outlet for social interaction and recreation for LGBT people and their friends, supporters, and associates. Outlaws will also advocate for the education of the UMKC students, faculty, and staff regarding LGBT issues.

Gender and Justice is offered each year, as is Employment Discrimination. In addition, mini-term courses, such as Law and Sexual Orientation, and Identity and Film, address LGBT issues and are offered from time to time.

Our students, faculty, and staff are in an environment that is both warm and welcoming. We are indeed a community of learners for everyone!

The campus also has a very active LGBTQIA office that provides programming throughout the year.
