LSAT Inbox

Welcome to the LSAT Inbox! This is a weekly blog series that answers frequently asked questions about the LSAT®. We encourage you to check back often for answers to more questions you may have as you prepare for the test.

Can law schools see if I pay for Score Preview and cancel my LSAT score?

LSAC offers a Score Preview option for test takers who wish to see their LSAT score before deciding whether to keep it and have it reported to law schools or, alternatively, cancel the score. If you choose to cancel your score, it will be reflected on your account as a Candidate Cancel, in the same way that a regular canceled score would be reflected. Law schools cannot see what score you received or that you purchased Score Preview.

Is there a timer on the screen when taking the LSAT online?

Yes, there will be a timer on screen during the LSAT. To practice with the official test interface and see how your screen will appear on test day, try PrepTests from LawHub. You can access four PrepTests with a free LawHub account or access more than 75 tests by purchasing an LSAT Prep Plus LawHub subscription.

What if my pet makes noise during the remotely proctored LSAT? Would this cause my session to be flagged for review?

The location that you use for the purpose of taking the test must be a quiet and private location (i.e., you must be in an enclosed room with four walls). We encourage test takers to make every effort to eliminate outside noise while taking the LSAT but recognize that sometimes noise may occur that is outside of your control. In this event, your session may be flagged for review.

How can I contact LSAC if I have additional questions?
